IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING 2ND/3RD GRADE CONCERT TICKETS :
This is from the Greenville Performing Arts Center...
We have begun to run into an issue regarding our ability to fit everyone into the auditorium. Over this past school year, we have noticed that people “purchase” more seats than they need to make sure that they have more than enough seats for our elementary concerts, but will only use a few of the tickets they reserved. Because of this, an event can look completely sold out online ahead of time, but moments before the concert starts half of the auditorium will be empty due to tickets being abandoned.
When families are purchasing more tickets than they need, they are preventing other parents and family members from seeing their kids perform. For this reason, we ask that you purchase only the amount of tickets that you need and if you end up having extra, please contact our box office and let us know. We understand that there are some large families that need more than our average ticket number, six, and we can work with everyone to help make adjustments as needed. We want every student on that stage to be supported and in order to do that, we believe that this is the best answer.
If you have any questions, please call the Greenville Performing Arts Center: 616-225-6108

Dear BH Families,
This month, we’re celebrating the power of reading through music and creativity. Students can join in fun activities, read song lyrics and books written by musicians, and explore how stories and songs connect. We’ll also enjoy watching concerts from major cities to see how music brings words to life. We can’t wait for your family to rock and read with us all month long! Attached you will find a monthly calendar with all the information! https://bit.ly/bhmirmcalendar2026
READING is the name of the game! Attached are your reading log stars: each star represents 15 minutes of reading! For PreK-2 grade students, being read to may count toward the 15 minutes of reading. For our 3-5 students, we encourage kids to engage in independent reading. https://bit.ly/bhmirmparentletter26
How do you play??
*For every 15 minutes of reading outside of the school day, cross off a star.
*When a full row of stars is crossed off, bring the completed portion to school, signed by a grown up.
How do you WIN?? LOTS of ways!
*Each row of signed stars will be entered into a weekly classroom drawing!
*Be the TOP READER in your class and choose a prize!
*The first grade level to reach their part of the school wide goal will earn an extra recess!
*Turn in the most reading logs for your grade level and earn a medal or trophy!
*The top grade level in K-1, 2 (TK)-3, and 4 (GSRP)-5 will win an ice cream sundae party.
When our students reach the building wide goal, Sir Rocksalot will make an appearance with the PageTurners!
Thank you and Happy Reading!
The Baldwin Heights Elementary Team
Special thanks to the Baldwin Heights PTO for financially supporting our Reading Month Prizes.
A signature is required for a reading log to be entered in the drawing.

THE PAGETURNERS WILL RETURN AT THE END OF MARCH IS READING MONTH!
ROCK ON!

Greetings Greenville Public Schools Family!
On February 7th a small group of dedicated (and probably slightly crazy) Yellow Jackets plunged into the icy waters of Turk Lake to raise money for the annual Polar Plunge to benefit the Special Olympics. In this endeavor we were able to raise the most we've EVER raised in Frozen Jackets history with $10,080! The heart of the Frozen Jackets is Cari Scholtens who hypes up the team year after year. The MVP of the team and our fundraising champion once again is none other than Sarah Pratt who single handedly raised $4,625! This breaks the record she set last year as the most money ever raised by a single person in Frozen Jackets history!
We couldn't do what we do without all of your support! Thank you to each and every person who donated to this amazing cause. Until next year!!!
For your viewing pleasure is the video of this year's jump (try to ignore the ridiculous look on my face): https://youtu.be/7Hunirzx8MQ
