Regular Board of Education Meetings:
Regular Meetings of the Board of Education are generally held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the Central Services Facility (1414 Chase Street) Community Room.
2022-2023 Board of Education - Regular Meeting Dates: August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14, December 12, January 9, February 13, March 13 (GMS Cafeteria), April 10, May 8, June 12, and July 10
Special Meetings will be posted (below) as to date, time, and place.
Special Board of Education Meeting Notices:
There will be a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 6:00pm at the Central Services Facility (1414 Chase Street, Greenville) for the purpose of a student discipline hearing.
There will be a Special Board Meeting on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 6:00pm at the Central Services Facility (1414 Chase Street, Greenville) for the purpose of a student discipline hearing.
Notice of a Public Hearing on Proposed 2023-2024 Budget
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on May 8, 2023, at 7:00 o’clock p.m., at 1414 Chase Street, Greenville, Michigan, the Board of Education of Greenville Public Schools, Montcalm, Kent, and Ionia Counties, Michigan, will hold a public hearing to consider the District’s proposed 2023-2024 budget.
The Board may not adopt its proposed 2023-2024 budget until after the public hearing. A copy of the proposed 2023-2024 budget, including the proposed property tax millage rate, is available for public inspection during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm at 1414 Chase Street, Greenville, Michigan.
The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.
This notice is given by order of the Board of Education.

The proposed budget will be an action item during the regular Board of Education Meeting scheduled for Monday, June 12, 2023, at 7:00pm.
Meeting Process:
All meetings are open to the public except, in accordance with state statutes, the board meets in closed session to discuss matters of personnel, negotiations, or the purchase of land.
Persons with disabilities who need special accommodations should call the Board of Education Office at 616-754-3686 five (5) days prior to the Board Meeting.
In the agenda, a time is set aside for citizen comments. Generally, questions of fact can be answered at the meeting at which they are raised. Other questions may be referred to the administration for investigation and study, and a reply given by mail or phone at the earliest possible date.
Citizens are encouraged to take concerns directly to the staff person closest to the problem to allow for a timely response.
