Greetings Greenville Public Schools Family!
It's that special time of year where GPS staff, parents, and students tempt fate and plunge into the icy waters of a frozen lake to benefit the Special Olympics. The Polar Plunge will again be close to home at Turk Lake and take place on Saturday, February 4th. The Special Olympics do some pretty amazing things for some of our very own students right here in Greenville. It's a very worthwhile organization and this event is one of their biggest fundraisers.
If any of you are brave enough to join the other crazy people, it's really not too bad....just a bit of a shock to the system! It's for a great cause. If you'd like to join the Frozen Jackets, please email Mr. Walsh (Principal of Baldwin Heights Elementary and Captain of the Frozen Jackets) at mike.walsh@gpsjackets.org.
If you'd rather support the Frozen Jackets by donating some much needed funds, please donate ONLINE by going to this website: https://give.classy.org/frozenwalsh23. Click on the "Donate" button and follow the directions.
Thanks for your support!

GPS would like to take a moment to thank Board Secretary Mr. Ron Billmeier (19+ years) and Board Trustee Dr. Rocky Hansen (12+ years) for serving on the GPS Board of Education. They will be missed tremendously, but we wish them the best of luck on their next endeavors. We would also like to thank our 2022 Board of Education Student Representative Hudson Parker for his commitment to serve the student body monthly at the Board of Education meetings . We wish him the best of luck as he finishes out his senior year at GHS and takes on his next adventures. Their terms officially end December 31, 2022. Photos were taken during their last regular meeting on December 12th.

BH School Family!
Are you looking to join our amazing school family? We will have an opening that is only 4.5 hours per day to help with playground and cafeteria coverage starting in January of 2023. Many of our current paraprofessionals started out as parents who just wanted to get into the school system and this position is PERFECT if you've been thinking about helping at the school and getting paid for it. :) You can make a huge difference in the lives of our children and join an incredible Baldwin Heights team. :)
If you're interested, go to this site and apply soon! https://bit.ly/bhgenpara2023.
Have a wonderful weekend!

This is the last week to collect items for our school-wide care project: The Bread of Life Food Pantry. Please send items with your student to school by Friday as items will be picked up after school on December 9. :)

Would you like to join our amazing team at Baldwin Heights? We are looking for a paraprofessional to be part of our school family. Apply here: https://bit.ly/bhparaprodec22
