All GPS school buildings will have heat and power and will be open as scheduled for a half day today (3/1). Our Central Services Facility continues to be without power. This will impact your ability to call offices at CSF, including the Transportation Department. Buses will be running. If you need to contact the Transportation Department, please call the temporary Transportation dispatch number 616.754.9361. Please have your bus riders at their stop a little early. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

If we need to cancel school due to continued electricity outages, the decision will be made tomorrow (Wednesday, March 1st) by 5:00am. This past Saturday, February 11, we had students from both GMS and GHS participate in the MSBOA District VII Honors Orchestra. Students are nominated by their director and then selected by MSBOA to participate. The GMS students participated in a Sectional Rehearsal night on Wednesday, February 8 from 6-8pm as well as the all-day event on Saturday, February 11. The Middle School students worked with guest conductor, Matthew Bridges, Director of Orchestras at Grandville High School. The HS students worked with guest conductor, John Varineau, retired Associate Conductor of the Grand Rapids Symphony. The all-day event concluded with a performance by both the Middle School and High School Honors Orchestras. Please congratulate these students if you see them--they worked very hard and the concert was just magical!
