Nine Seventh and Eighth Grade Orchestra students participated in the MSBOA District 7 Honors Orchestra Festival on February 8th. These students were nominated by their teacher and then selected by a committee of string teachers to participate. Once selected, students had a short amount of time to learn three pieces of music on their own and be prepared to play among the best string students in District 7. These students traveled to Mona Shores High School and rehearsed in sectional rehearsals on Wednesday and came together Saturday to perform under the direction of Mr. Jed Fritzmeier. Congratulations, Jackets!

We are thrilled to announce that several of our 8th-grade students have been selected for a remarkable achievement! In October, these creative writers participated in a global spooky story contest, showcasing their imagination and talent.
After careful consideration, their outstanding stories have been chosen for publication in an upcoming book that will feature young writers from schools all over the world! This is an incredible honor and a testament to their hard work, creativity, and passion for storytelling.
Congratulations!
