The Greenville Public Schools Board of Education moved one step closer to hiring a new superintendent on Wednesday. The Board initially interviewed three candidates:  J. Erich Harmsen, Executive Director of Curriculum and Professional Learning at Grand Rapids Public Schools; Brett Zuver, Superintendent at Grant Public School; and Wayne Roedel, Superintendent at Fowlerville Community Schools. The Board decided to invite two candidates back for a second interview.  

The interviews will be held on Tuesday, September 13. Wayne Roedel will interview at 5:30 pm and Brett Zuver will interview at 7:00 pm.  

The interviews will be held at Greenville Public Schools Central Services Facility, 1414 Chase Street, Greenville, Michigan. The public is welcome to attend. 

Mr. Roedel has served as the Superintendent of Fowlerville Community Schools since 2013. Prior, he served as Assistant Superintendent for one year and High School Principal for eight years also with Fowlerville.

Mr. Zuver has served as Superintendent of Grant Public Schools since 2019. Previously, he served as High School Principal for three years at Kenowa Hills and six years at Belding. He has also served as an Athletic Director for two years.

Candidates will tour the district prior to the final interviews.
