Greenville Board of Education Trustee David Seppala submitted his letter of resignation

after recently being appointed to the Board. Mr. Seppala’s resignation is effective

Friday, July 24, 2026. By law, Board members must name a replacement no later than

30 days following the resignation.

The Greenville Board of Education is seeking letters of interest for the vacant

position. The legal qualifications for the position are that the applicant must be 18 years

of age, a registered voter and resident in the school district, a citizen of the United

States, and a resident of the State of Michigan for at least 30 days. Board members

serve without pay. An individual will be appointed to fill the vacant position through the

remainder of the term (December 31, 2026).

3:00pm on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Following a review of the submitted materials, the Board may act on a replacement

before the expiration of the 30 days. Additional information is available at the Central
