The Greenville Board of Education approved the 2026-27 District Calendar on Monday, March 9, 2026. The calendar is a collaborative effort involving board members, administrators, teachers, parents, and support staff.
2026-2027 GPS Staff District Calendar
Here are a few things to note about the 2026-2027 school year:
First Student Day: Monday, August 24, 2026
Parent-Teacher Conferences: October 14, 20, 28 & 29. Please review the calendar for specific dates and times.
Winter Recess: December 21, 2026 – January 1, 2027. School resumes on Monday, January 4, 2027. Middle and high school exams will be held on January 14 & 15. The second semester will begin on January 18.
Mid-Winter Break: Friday, February 12, and Monday, February 15, 2027
Spring Break: April 2-9, 2027, as determined by the Montcalm Area ISD
Last Student Day: Currently scheduled for Friday, June 4, 2027. This may change depending on unplanned school closures.
School Day Types: Full days and half days. Please see dismissal times at the bottom of the calendar.
Local school districts within the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District will align with Kent County for spring break in the first full week of April for the 2026-27 school year. This is the final year of the two-year alternating spring break schedule with Kent County. The 2027-28 and 2028-29 school years will align with Gratiot and Isabella Counties, with spring break during the last full week in March.
