Mentoring

Lincoln Heights has a mentor program. Several parents and community members serve as mentors who provide support and friendship to selected students for a half hour each once a week.

Children's Corner

Children's Corner is a licensed child care program offered by Greenville Public Schools for elementary children ages 4-12. At Lincoln Heights, it is open from 6:00 a.m. until school begins and again from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m. Students can be bused to and from other elementary buildings before and after school. Children’s Corner operates during the school year and is open during school delays, inservice days, etc.

Children's Corner provides a safe, enriching environment where children will spend productive time at school at a reasonable cost. It allows children freedom to participate in activities, yet allows parents to feel secure that their children are supervised by professional and trained adults who care for their children.

Project Start

Project Start is a Michigan School Readiness program funded by the State Department of Education for children considered to be "at risk". Children must be 4 years old by December 1st of the year they enroll. They attend school two full days per week and are bused with other elementary children. Staff members are available to answer questions and help with enrollment material.

Title I

The Lincoln Heights Title I Program provides support for at-risk students in grades K-5.

Gifted and Talented and Special Education Programs are also available.

Special Education

The resource room offers support to students with special needs. The general education curriculum is followed.

Social Work

Social work is available and can provide a valuable link between home and school.
