Thirty-six Greenville students attended the state conference in Detroit. We had 13 students medal, including 10 state finalists, and 4 international qualifiers.

Forty five Greenville students competed at the State Career Development Conference. Congratulations to the following students for their accomplishments!
AJ Ebels- Medaled on his Test in Buying and Merchandising Management Team Decision Making
Maddie Buckner- Medaled in Role-play and was an Overall Finalist in Quick Serve Restaurant Management
Megan Ayres- Medaled in Role-play in Marketing Management
Lydia Martin- Medaled in Role-play and was an Overall Finalist in Hotel and Lodging Management

Emily Smith (senior)- Medaled on her Test, Role-play, was an Overall Finalist and a State Champion in Restaurant and Food Service Management--- Also graced the stage singing the National Anthem to over 3,000 DECA members at opening ceremonies!
Mikayla Davis (sophomore)- Medaled in Role-play, was an Overall Finalist and a State Champion in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism
Lauryn Day & Britta Bernth (seniors)- Medaled in Role-play, were Overall Finalists and State Champions in Sports and Entertainment Management Team Decision Making

It also provides several opportunities for students to interact with business people in a professional setting. Students select an area of occupational interest where they can choose to compete in a role-play or presentation-style event.
