Mrs. Masters Update
This week began our first week of reading homework. Reading homework is given every Monday-Thursday. The students need to read for 20 minutes, and have their planners signed to confirm they finished their reading.
If a student forgets their planner, I would like them to still do their homework, but get a piece of paper signed instead of their planner. This way, they are still confirming their reading time, and also getting their homework done.
It's been a great start to the school year! We have been working hard to teach the students expectations in all areas of the building, in order to provide a stronger learning environment.
This year, the students will be earning Cedar Leader Chips when they are "caught" being a good leader.
These chips can be changed in for a ticket to be placed in a drawing. The students will also turn in chips to fill our 5th grade tube. When all grade level tubes are full, there will be an all school reward.
We are very excited about the positive impact this will have for our students and the building as a whole!
